I think we'll keep our day job
Last weekend we headed over to Ed and Linda's house to help them with sanding their deck and railings. They are re-doing their deck area and I can't wait to see it. From the way they describe their plans with the space, it no doubt it will be beautiful like the rest of their home. Mind you... it was 100 degree weather! I was so filthy and sweaty by the end of the day. It was so nice helping them for a change though! :) They are a huge support for us and we are so thankful to have them in our lives!

Bailey mainly watched movies and played barbies but here she is helping out!

Lazy days of summertime
I love Summer! Love Love Love...Here is how we spend a typical lazy day in this beautiful season.
After Daddy goes to work we play, cuddle, dance and have tons of fun girl time

Then we head over to Cottonwood Heights Rec Center. Bailey has been taking swimming lessons this summer so she is so excited to practice her skills. We have a membership here so it is our go to activity on lazy summer days...

Gorgeous view of the mountains my phones camera really doesn't do it justice.
One of our favorite things to do in the evenings is sit in our front yard with some music playing. We have an amazing view of the mountains from our house and I love to see it turn a pinkish hue from the sun set in the evening. It is so beautiful and an amazing way to finish the day as a family. We sit and watch Bailey play, go on family bike rides, play hop scotch and I usually end up weeding and tending to the flower beds. I am posting pics from my phone...not the best quality but I really never upload the pictures from my camera, pure laziness :)

She wanted to wear one of her flower girl dresses :)

Snowbird's Mountain Music Festival
I promised my family when they came for a visit that I would start updating my blog again, so here I go! This past weekend we went up to Snowbird for the Mountain Music Festival. I am so glad we did, what an amazing summer day. I loved the relaxed vibe up there with great music and amazing scenery. Here are some pics of us playing and hiking on the mountain side, Bailey was in heaven.
She loved exploring

two to the nine
My birthday was amazing this year. I just really enjoyed the day hanging out at home with Bailey and Chris, shopping, and then Me, Chris, and Bailey went out to dinner at Bonzai. Yum-y! This is officially my last year in my 20's and I really am loving my age. I think with age I have come to know myself so much better than I used to. I am doing what I love-being a mom and a wife. I am pursuing my dreams of being in the medical field. Life is good!!! :)
Here we are at Bonsai
She loved the soy sauce. She was actually drinking it. The waitress couldn't stop laughing.
Gotta love the volcano. My favorite part!
She was mesmerized!

Susan's birthday
My Aunt Susan's birthday is the day before mine so we always celebrate together. This year we met at my house for pizza then left Bailey with Chris at home to play while the girls went and saw the movie 'New Moon.' (Loved it by the way) We then came back to my house and had cake and conversation.
Beautiful cake

Making my birthday wish!
Dig in. This girl sure does have a sweet tooth.

Going home
I think this was the first time Bailey really understood that we were in an airplane that is actually flying in the sky. She loved watching the city lights below us. It was sad though when we were leaving for home she said "I want to go back on the ground...I want to see Memaw!" She cried and cried. So sad. She doesn't understand that we can't just fly to California all the time. She is constantly asking to go to Owen and Ava's house. I say to her "Honey we live too far" and she replies "let's go on a plane." Man I wish it was that easy!
Walking out to the plane at the Long Beach airport. (Bailey insisted on wearing her Belle jammies over her clothes.) :)
Looking down on the Ocean and the Southern California coast.
