Bailey masters the slide

I really need to stop procrastinating and get the rest of the pictures from my family's visit on our blog so here I go. After many nights out to dinner with the fam, (and trying to keep Bailey sitting in the high chair without having freak-outs) my Dad thought it would be a good idea if we all just got take out and ate together at a park so when the kids were done eating they could play. What a wonderful idea that was! It is kind of impossible to enjoy each other's company at restaurants when you have a 1 year old squirming the whole time to get out of the high chair. So we went to this cute little park in bountiful by my Uncle Phil's house. There was the perfect size slide for Bailey and she loved saying ready-set-go! (Well she says zezy-det-DOW!!!) We were surprised at how fast she became obsessed with the slides. I was about to go down the big slide with her at one point so I set her down, well before I could even sit she had pushed off and was on the way down. What a brave girl!

Going down all by herself..so independent

Pioneer Day

So last week we celebrated Pioneer day. We had a very relaxing day just hanging out at the house with Chris, Bailey and Cindy. It was so nice. Nick, Tracy, Brooklyn, Adam, Erin, Ben and Aly ended up coming over in the afternoon and we headed up to the Cottonwood Heights City fireworks. This was the first time Bailey had ever seen real fireworks, so I was kind of nervous about what her reaction would be. We got there just as the fireworks were starting and she actually loved it! It was seriously amazing watching her little face. I really felt like it was out of a dream. She started to get a little bored a while into it and I noticed the swing set was open that we were sitting next to. I decided to take her on the swing and that was seriously perfect. Swinging with my beautiful girl and watching the fireworks. I will never forget that amazing moment.

I just had to add in that I just got back from our friend Cheree's funeral and my heart aches for her husband Dave, and their little baby Kaydyn. I only met Cheree last December but we fast became friends. Dave and Cheree bought a boat this spring so they were our boating buds... we would tie our boats together and fish and hang out with them. We went over to Dave's house the night we found out she died, and I felt honored to hold and rock little baby Kadyn and as I looked in her sweet little eyes, I really cried for her mom. She won't get to see her sweet little girl grow up. It just isn't right, she died way to young. Dave obviously isn't doing very well and I really don't know if he needs us to be with him more or if he needs quiet family time. This tragedy makes me savor every moment I have with Chris and Bailey. I have been holding them as much as I can the last few days.

One on one time with the fam!

Nothing beats quality time with family. We did a LOT of fun stuff while my family was in town but my favorite moments are talking, laughing and spending some great one on one time with them! We spent some time at our house as well as my Grandma Bailey's house. Here are some fun pictures from just hanging out...

Bailey loves Ava so much, she is a bit obsessed with her
Ava trying out Bailey's bouncer...she loved it!Ok, ok she was really obsessed with her!
Chris has a drum set that he loves sooo much, so he was so excited when he had another buddy to play them with. Owen and Chris made a rock band in our walk in closet! Gotta love boys! This is also one of Bailey's favorite pastimes! She will sometimes disappear in our room and we hear the drums start going, she is a doll!

Here is Bailey helping Papa with the computer...

Bailey cuddling up with Great-Grandma Bailey
Bailey and Owen playing pool...
Bailey loves to throw the balls as hard as she can...watch out!

Owen and Bailey splashing in the hot tub

When Canyon came up to Owen in the back yard, Owen hid behind Lisa and was so serious when he said "Is he going to eat me? Am I going to die?" Oh my gosh we laughed so hard!

Once we taught Bailey how to say cheese we try to get her to do it all the time!
CHEESE!
Vauri had Ava giggling away in the car! It melted our hearts!
My parents went to Hawaii a couple months ago and got Bailey a hula outfit, she was not so sure about it!

We put it on Owen and he loved it!

Bath time at Grandma Bailey's house
I love that I took bath's in this exact same bath tub when I was her age. I also love that she plays with the same exact bath toys I played with in this tub!

Blowing bubbles

I also love that there are these exact same pictures of me on my tippy toes trying to play this piano that has always been in this exact same spot! Being at my Grandma Bailey's house brings back some great memories!

I love her big brown eyes!
We also spent a lot of time in the car! We had my Dad's pilot we three rows of seats so we had Dad and Mom in the front, all three car seats in the middle and me and Vauri sardined in the very back! It was fun!

Here is Memaw and Ava in the car waiting...
Vauri and her adorable kids!
