Aquarium of the Pacific

While we were in California, My Dad, Vauri, Owen, Bailey and I went to the Aquarium of the Pacific. That place is amazing. I wish we had an aquarium like that here. Bailey absolutely loved it. We went back in July and she even loved it then when she was just 4 months old. This time it was pretty empty so we were able to take our time and really look at everything. They have the most amazing exhibits with huge fish tanks. The exhibits inside the building are awesome they surround you and sometimes they have diver's go in the fish tank and feed the fish. That is probably my favorite part, but I didn't manage to get a picture of it. I am sure we will come here often when I visit. It is really close to where my parents live so they bought annual passes.

chillin on the couch

For some reason Bailey LOVES these little kid couches. She thinks that are the coolest ever. Well Owen has one so she was thrilled to play on it the whole time we were there. Here are the cute cousins watching Jay play his new Wii!
Bailey is using the wiimote as a phone! She is adorable!

Vauri's baby shower

My sweet sister Vauri is pregnant with her second baby . She is due in March, she is having a girl and naming her Ava. While I was in California we had a baby shower for her. It was so fun. She is such a cute pregnant girlie! I can't wait to meet sweet little Ava! I plan to go up in April for her blessing.

Bailey's birthday bash in California

As I wrote in an earlier post, my family planned a birthday party for Bailey. It was so fun to have everyone over to celebrate with us! I thought it was so sweet that so many people ended up making it even when last minute we had to change it to the next day! My family did such a good job at planning it! Thank you so much guys!

I made it!

Well I am in California! I forgot my camera cord for the computer, so I will just post pictures when I get home. This trip did not start out very well at all. I missed my first flight (Long story!) Luckily I was able to get on a flight later that same day. However... my family had planned a surprise birthday party for Bailey so they had to call everyone and change it to the next day. I seriously felt sooo bad! My mom (Jan) said it was actually better because it gave her more time to get ready but I think she was just saying that because I was crying when she told me! So when I finally got on the plane that was seriously a nightmare. I am not even kidding Bailey screamed about 2/3rd's of the way here. It was so embarrassing! Luckily no one was sitting right next to me because she was like flailing her little body around in a full on temper tantrum. NO fun! She finally fell asleep as we were landing. Which was actually good because we had to wait in the plane an extra 20 minutes. Oh I just really hope the flight home will be better than that! I am just going to bring more toys for her. I didn't bring any of her toys that made noise because I thought it would bug people... but I think the blood curdling screams is probably a bit more annoying!

Once we got here things have gone a lot smoother! Bailey's birthday party was so much fun! My family is so sweet and there were a ton of people that made it to celebrate for our sweet Bailey! (My family is HUGE) They did a lady bug theme and my mom did such a good job putting it all together. And not to rub it in to my fellow Utahn's but we had it outside! The weather was awesome most of the time. It got a little cold later in the day but my Dad just turned on their outdoor heater and we were good to go! My sweet Aunt Ann made the CUTEST cake I have seen! It was grass with a giant lady bug on it. She is so talented. Anyway it was a lot of fun and Bailey got a lot of cute stuff. I can't wait to post the pictures.

The weather isn't the greatest but it's a lot better than the 20 degrees back home! It has been a little rainy but we are still having a blast. So far we have done some shopping, eating out, lots of fun talks at home. Yesterday my Dad, Vauri, Owen, Bailey and I went to the Aquarium of the Pacific. I seriously LOVE that place. It is huge and Bailey loved it! She was even reaching in to touch the sea urchins at the little place where you can touch the star fish, rays and some nice sharks. We are having lots of fun but missing Chris a lot! I will post more later!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's day!!! I love Valentine's day so much! Growing up we always woke up to some kind of pink breakfast. My mom (Jan) would put food coloring in our oatmeal or pancakes! So fun! Then in our lunch would be some kind of special treat and note. We also always got a huge basket with toys and candy sent to our house from Aunt Susan and my mom(Julie.) With Chris we always try to make Valentine's day a big deal too. Usually we go out to dinner and its always crazy busy. One year we took a horse ride up memory grove. It was sooo cold but so beautiful and fun. This year we decided to have a low key Valentine's day and it was so great! I love my hubby so much! He is so great to me and Bailey. We are going to miss him so much while we are in California. I love celebrating Valentine's with Bailey too. She was very spoiled. My aunt Susan and Ashley came over and gave her some presents. While they were here she took a few steps and we were all screaming. It was funny. We are definitely not a quiet family. She is so proud of herself when she tries to walk. Then we went to Ed and Linda's for dinner. They wanted to see Bailey before we leave. Ed made a very yummy pizza. We always have so much fun when we are with them. I so lucked out in the in-law department! Bailey fell asleep in the car on the way home so Chris and I had a little time to ourselves! It was such a nice day! Well I am headed to California tomorrow! Wish me luck on the plane with Bailey.

Here is Bailey and her giant stuffed dog that Susan and Ashley brought over. Bailey LOVES it. When they gave it to her she was hugging it.
