While my family was here we really, really wanted to go to our community pool. So we went one day and we all loved it so much that we went again the next day. My Aunt Ellen met us with her kids. I love spending time with them so much, but hardly ever get to see them. So that was a real treat. We all had such a wonderful time, so we decided this will definitely be on the agenda when they come for other visits. Even in the winter we will probably go because they have a darling indoor pool as well. How could you not love it here? It is by far the best kid pool I have ever been to. You also have the most amazing view of the mountains, it's only about 5 minutes from the mouth of the canyon. We were pretty obsessed with the water slides and having races for who could go down the fastest. You can bet we stayed until the pool closed at 8! I love lazy days like these in the summer.

Bailey masters the slide
I really need to stop procrastinating and get the rest of the pictures from my family's visit on our blog so here I go. After many nights out to dinner with the fam, (and trying to keep Bailey sitting in the high chair without having freak-outs) my Dad thought it would be a good idea if we all just got take out and ate together at a park so when the kids were done eating they could play. What a wonderful idea that was! It is kind of impossible to enjoy each other's company at restaurants when you have a 1 year old squirming the whole time to get out of the high chair. So we went to this cute little park in bountiful by my Uncle Phil's house. There was the perfect size slide for Bailey and she loved saying ready-set-go! (Well she says zezy-det-DOW!!!) We were surprised at how fast she became obsessed with the slides. I was about to go down the big slide with her at one point so I set her down, well before I could even sit she had pushed off and was on the way down. What a brave girl!

She amazes me!
Going down all by herself..so independent

Pioneer Day
So last week we celebrated Pioneer day. We had a very relaxing day just hanging out at the house with Chris, Bailey and Cindy. It was so nice. Nick, Tracy, Brooklyn, Adam, Erin, Ben and Aly ended up coming over in the afternoon and we headed up to the Cottonwood Heights City fireworks. This was the first time Bailey had ever seen real fireworks, so I was kind of nervous about what her reaction would be. We got there just as the fireworks were starting and she actually loved it! It was seriously amazing watching her little face. I really felt like it was out of a dream. She started to get a little bored a while into it and I noticed the swing set was open that we were sitting next to. I decided to take her on the swing and that was seriously perfect. Swinging with my beautiful girl and watching the fireworks. I will never forget that amazing moment.
I just had to add in that I just got back from our friend Cheree's funeral and my heart aches for her husband Dave, and their little baby Kaydyn. I only met Cheree last December but we fast became friends. Dave and Cheree bought a boat this spring so they were our boating buds... we would tie our boats together and fish and hang out with them. We went over to Dave's house the night we found out she died, and I felt honored to hold and rock little baby Kadyn and as I looked in her sweet little eyes, I really cried for her mom. She won't get to see her sweet little girl grow up. It just isn't right, she died way to young. Dave obviously isn't doing very well and I really don't know if he needs us to be with him more or if he needs quiet family time. This tragedy makes me savor every moment I have with Chris and Bailey. I have been holding them as much as I can the last few days.
