...The big birthday weekend...

Bailey turned one on March 8th so we had a small celebration for her at Ed and Linda's house. We had a great time. Bailey had a blast playing with all the kids that came. Thanks everyone for making her first birthday so special for us. Oh and thank you Susan for taking the pictures.

Now for the cake... we didn't get anypictures of her with the cake just the after math. She didn't even eat the cake just the frosting! Here she is when she was sooo over the cake and just wanted out of the high chair! At the end of this post there is a video of her eating the frosting, well it is really her just trying to share her cake with everyone! She is too cute!
Later that night we headed over to Cade and Janelle's house for his 33rd birthday party!

The next day we headed back over to Ed and Linda's to have a lunch to celebrate Cade and Bailey's birthday as a family.

Happy Birthday Bailey!

Bailey turned one on March 8th! We had a fun little party for her at Ed and Linda's house and it was so much fun! I still am in shock that she is a year old. I can't believe it's already been a year, it seems like yesterday but I think most mothers have those feelings at every age. We are so happy that Bailey is in our family. She brings us so much happiness just to see her little face smiling at us. She is such a social little one. She loves to say "Hi" several times to everyone she sees, she really loves people. She also loves to: play peek-a-boo, clap, smile, go for walks, be outside, playing with her toys, "reading" books, eating food, shaking her head no at us, learning to walk, cuddling with her blanky, pulling all of her books off her bookcase, singing songs, rocking in her rocking chair, "talking" on the phone, her own little couch, bouncing/dancing to music, playing catch, etc. The list could keep going. Of course there are some things that she doesn't particularly like but mostly because it slows her down from doing the things she does like to do - like getting her diaper changed, getting her face wiped, being told no, etc. She is now switched over to milk and is LOVING it! It was always a struggle to get her to take a bottle but now she actually points at her "baba" when I bring it in to her and she just chugs away! She also is eating now without me having to distract her to get food in her mouth! I switched her from baby food to our food and she is seriously loving it! Wow what a relief. She is a little walker now . If she wants to get somewhere fast she will still craw,l but for the most part she walks everywhere! She is the BEST baby ever. Chris and I really can't believe how good she is. She has brought so much to our lives. We are so grateful for such a good, happy baby that is healthy. Happy Birthday, Bailey! We love you! My niece Ava!!!

I am so ecstatic! My sister Vauri gave birth to my first little niece early this morning at 12:31 am. Vauri and Ava are doing great!!! She weighed in at 7 lbs 11 oz and was 20 inches long. I will post pics as soon as Vauri posts some on her blog. I wouldn't want to post them before she gets to! :) I am so happy Bailey will have another fun cousin to play with!!!

Once we got sick in California I pretty much spaced on taking pictures. I did get a couple more but not much. I can't wait to go back in a month. I love making my trips there pretty close together so it doesn't hurt as much being so far away. Luckily my parents come here a lot too.

This picture was actually taken at my house but I had to sneak it in because it is so cute. This is how Bailey sleeps. I try to get her on her back but the minute I lay her down she flips over to her tummy with her cute little bum up in the air. This girl melts my heart!Here is Bailey in the car when we were in California... this is when she was so sick. :(

I just wanted to thank my family for helping so much with Bailey while her and I were sick. I don't think I could have done it on my own. One night my sis Lindsay got up with Bailey (every 20 minutes) so I could sleep for the night. She is amazing with little babies. Love you guys!
